Window Type

A window type dumbwaiter opens on two opposite sides, so trays move straight through the wall from the kitchen to the dining room or service corridor. Nothing is carried around the building, the doors never open into guest areas during service, and the pass-through landing keeps the two sides of the operation separate. Twelve models in this range cover 100kg to 250kg.

This layout suits restaurants, cafes and hotels where the kitchen sits directly behind the wall it serves. The car runs in a traction-driven shaft from 60x60x80cm upward, with a 0.75kW to 1.5kW machine depending on load and travel height. Sill, door and landing details are set by the shaft you have, which is why we ask for floor-to-floor heights before quoting.

A pass-through car also needs an interlock that will not let both doors open at once, because the landing on the dining-room side sits in public view. Every window type unit we ship is wired for that arrangement as standard, and the control cabinet is configured for the door count before it leaves the workshop.
